TAXI TRANSFER FROM SAN JOSE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT to Margarita's
AIRPORT BED AND BREAKFAST IN LA GARITA DE ALAJUELA, COSTA RICA

1. After the passport control you must take the escalator down to the
   baggage claim area.  Upon entering this area you see at your left in
   the corner a shop where arriving passengers can buy taxfree liquors,
   wines and cigarettes.  Maximum 8 taxfree bottles per adult person.
	 
   In the baggage claim area you also find a desk of ICE, the national
   phone company of Costa Rica where you buy a prepaid SIM Card for your
   GSM cell phone.  Make sure you have your GSM phone with you!

   For only $5 you buy a SIM Card with $5 calling credit and a Costa Rica
   phone number valid for 30 days.
   $10 gives you $10 calling credit and a number valid for 45 days
   $20 gives you $20 calling credit and a number valid for 60 days.
   This way you avoid expensive roaming fees of your own GSM carrier.
   At the end of your trip you can sell the SIM Card with remaining calling
   credit to Margarita's Airport B&B San Jose for cash dollars!

   As soon as you have collected your luggage and your luggage is scanned for
   fruit and vegetables, you pass the rental car desks and you reach the exit.
   
2. In front of the exit you see a big glass window.
   Behind this window people are waiting for arriving passengers.
   Turn LEFT before this window and taxi drivers of the orange taxis
   will already be waiting.  They wear brown pants and white shirts.
   Try to avoid these taxi drivers because their licence to operate at the 
   airport was cancelled by the Costa Rica government.
   Because of consistently overcharging arriving passengers!
   Only use the orange taxis when they are willing to accept the official 
   taxi rate you find in the header of our address page (Point 2 above)
   Never prepay any taxi driver!  Tell them they get payment on arrival
	 
3. Show any driver the address below or the page you printed (Point 2 above)

4. Wait on the curbside with all your luggage for the taxi driver to bring 
   his car.   DON NOT FOLLOW the driver to his taxi. Don't let the taxi
   driver take any luggage with him when he is picking up his taxi!
	 
5. Put your luggage in the trunk, not on the back seat unless someone will
   be sitting on the back seat too.
	 
6. Tell the driver you want to 'INCAE via Barrio San Jose'
   All taxi drivers know the world-famous INCAE Business School
   INCAE is located at the end of a dead-end road which is a side street
   of Costa Rica Highway 3.
	
7. After about 10 minutes you reach the blue-white INCAE sign along highway 3
   300 Meters after the INCAE sign you see at the left the green columns of
   the parking lot of the Santa Fe High School.
   300 Meters further and you will see
   - at the left a private road with the sign 'Margarita'  Turn left here
   - at the right the orange gate of 'Apartamentos Palma Real'

8. Opposite this orange gate you enter the private road to our B&B
   After 150 meters you will see our black gate with red-white
   fluorescent stripes.
   Behind our gate you see the sign 'Margarita de La Garita'
   Our entrance gate, you have arrived
   Use your lights or use the intercom in the wall at the 
   left side of the gate.
   
10.If you miss the orange gate or 'Margarita' sign, you can make a U-turn in
   front of the INCAE Business School, 100 meters further left.
   This road is a dead-end road anyhow.  It ends at INCAE

11.Immediately after passing our gate you see the tennis court at the left.  
   Park your car next to the main building at the left.
